Neither of us had much gardening experience prior to becoming custodians of Terrara so it has and continues to be, a wonderful and very steep learning curve.

Our partnership is well displayed throughout the gardens with Venetia developing the overarching designs and plant selections and Jeremy realising the vision through his incredible craftsmanship which can be evidenced by moments such as the drystone walls that are idiosyncratic to Terrara. From the retaining walls that flank the front entrance, to the curvaceous wall of the Reflection Room or the curved stone steps from the Dining Room. We use these walls to highlight the topography and provide individual moments while allowing the eye to have space to see the whole.
