This vessel is inspired by the movement of the wind across the surface of a lake.
It has been made using a clay containing melting minerals that develop a seductive surface with dark spots of different sizes and shades that stand out on an ivory-white surface.
The interior of the vessel has been glazed in deep blue with the undulating rim highlighted by thin stripes in the same blue over the speckled surface.
The underside of the exaggerated flared form is covered in a clear gloss glaze allowing the natural clay to bring a grounding effect to the vessel which is enhanced by a repeated pattern of deep blue dots around the base.
